Commercial and Litigation Attorney.

 

O’Reilly Law is a boutique commercial law firm, established the 1st of September 2018.

 

We’re looking for a junior litigation attorney with commercial law experience. An individual with a passion for business law, litigation and an entrepreneurial spirit will be the perfect fit.

 

 

The position requires an individual with litigation and dispute resolution expertise as well as an ability to manage client relationships, billing processes and be pro-active in terms of matter and client management

 

 

In addition, the candidate should possess the following:

 

 

  • Experience in High Court and Magistrate Court Litigation;
  • Own Transport – essential;
  • Excellent litigation and commercial drafting skills;
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both verbal and written);
  • Excellent business law acumen;
  • The ability to work as a member of a team;
  • A strong work ethic;
  • Knowledge and expertise in company law; and
  • Knowledge and expertise in commercial dispute resolution.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • General commercial law litigation (general business law related dispute resolution, debt recoveries and litigating contractual disputes);
  • Liaising with correspondents and counsel;
  • Attending to court appearances;
  • Employment law related services to clients; and
  • Drafting, negotiation and reviewing of commercial contracts.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • LLB (LLM and/or further Company Law related qualifications will be advantageous)
  • Admitted Attorney with 3+ years’ post article experience in a commercial law/litigation department.

 

Remuneration:

Market Related

 

 

Starting Date:

1 October 2019
